Polo Santa Chiara hosts the university library of CeGo. Inaugurated in March 2012, it extends for 200 square meters on two levels with an area reserved for studying and reading. At the library, you can find 11.000 books, 1.900 audiovisuals, 2.800 dissertations discussed in Gorizia since 2003. The university library has available several subjects, from communication to social sciences, from art to music and cinema.

USER SERVICES

Borrowing

The library service is available for users enrolled at the University of Udine, users who belong to the UniUd community and external users. The user can borrow books showing the Smart Card.

Students enrolled at the University of Udine can borrow up to 20 volumes for 30 days. External users can borrow up to 5 volumes for 30 days. Renewal of the loan and reservation of books can be requested at the library, from the catalogue of the University Library System, by e-mail or telephone. Books shall be returned by the due date in the same conditions and to the same library.

Interlibrary Loan

Book requests should be sent to Primo by filling in the online form. For further information write to ill.umanistica@uniud.it.

Arrival and procedures for book collection will be communicated by e-mail by the library staff.

In order to request an interlibrary loan, libraries can send an e-mail to ill.umanistica@uniud.it.
The principle of reciprocity is accepted.

Loans from other Libraries of the University

It is possible to request books from other libraries of the University of Udine, including Pordenone.
Books should be reserved from the catalogue Primo, selecting the correct place of collection.
Otherwise, the user can send an e-mail to biblioteca.cego@uniud.it.
The user will be notified of the arrival via e-mail. Books must be collected within three working days.

Bibliographic Consultation

It is possible to arrange an appointment at the library (or via e-mail) for the following services:

Bibliographic counselling service;
Access and use of the integrated system Primo;
Service to access the online resources of the Library System (databases, e-magazines, articles, bibliographies, e-books).

LIBRARY SERVICES

Thesis consultation

In this area, all the dissertations discussed at the CeGo can be found and consulted. A form must be filled in to consult the dissertations. It is possible to consult dissertations from the academic year 2002 only at the library of Gorizia, with the authorization of the graduate. A list of dissertations can be found online or at the library.

It is also possible to consult the catalogue and the dissertations of the University in the Archive section of Udine.

Biblioteca Statale Isontina’s catalogue

This catalogue allows users to connect to the OPAC system in order to search texts in the Polo SBN of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Mediateca Ugo Casiraghi

In the Mediateca Ugo Casiraghi users can consult books, cinema magazines, photographs and visual arts. The registration is free for everyone and allows the users to loan DVD’s, VHS and books.
